“Come in, – come in! and know me better, man! I am the ghost of Christmas present. Look upon me! You have never seen the like of me before.”

– A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens

This past Saturday was our 6th Annual Hearing for the Holidays Mission. We were able to help 40+ individuals and countless family members just in time for the holidays.

Our day was filled with laughter, love, and sounds many individuals weren’t used too. From a gentleman who heard “Merry Christmas”, to a woman who was finally able to hear something as simple as paper crinkling; many individuals were able to hear sounds they haven’t heard in years! We saw tears of joy, families brought closer together, and individuals come out from a world of silence – all truly priceless moments.

Chick-fil-A generously donated breakfast for all of those in attendance. No one went home hungry that’s for sure!

For those of you who couldn’t make it out this weekend, we created a video just for you! We walk you through the process our individuals go through and what our day consisted of.

To get a glimpse of Saturday,  you can watch the  video HERE via Facebook.

We would like to thank our sponsors and everyone who took time out of their day to help us deliver the gift of hearing.

Special thanks to Bill and Tani Austin, Mike Poppen, Spencer Miller, and Joanita Stelter from Starkey Hearing Foundation, Dr. Mike Sevilla, Darla White, Ashley Tartarka, Amanda Moss, Brian Governor from Safeguard, Mauri and Emma Kosicek from Kosicek Vineyards, and the staff from Centers for Hearing Care who all volunteered.
